I don’t keep pictures on the wall,
Cause I’ll be leaving in the fall.
That’s the lie the keeps me sane.
It’s my hope of summer rain.

It’s been so long and I’ve felt so lost.
Four summers gone and there’s nothing here but dust.
I’ve been so strong.

But I need a sign of summer rain
Don’t need it all
I just wanna see clouds again.
I know there’s Hope and
I know there’s Love
I just get so dry.
Fill me up.

I like to wake before the sun.
Shows me all I haven’t done.
All I see is all I fail.
The empty walls that I can’t fill.

I know I do a few things right
But all of that stays buried in the night.
I’ve been so wrong.
